Blasphemous is out now on Android, for all you god-fearing heretics out there

Blasphemous, the challenging 2D platformer drawing inspiration from religious iconography and Spanish folklore, is now available on Android! This release includes all DLC, gamepad support, and a completely redesigned user interface. The iOS version is coming soon.

The unsettling nature of organized religion is undeniable; Blasphemous from The Game Kitchen masterfully captures this unease. Its dark gothic atmosphere, intense side-scrolling combat, and unforgiving difficulty create a truly unique experience – now playable on your Android device.

You'll play as The Penitent One, a heavily armored warrior on a quest to liberate the cursed island of Cvstodia from the blight known as The Miracle. Prepare for relentless battles against grotesque creatures born from a twisted blend of religious imagery and Spanish folklore. Expect to die... repeatedly.

Blasphemous' mobile version features a completely revamped UI and intuitive touch controls, along with Bluetooth gamepad compatibility for those who prefer traditional controllers. All DLC is included – a welcome bonus!

iOS users will have to exercise a bit more patience; the game's iOS launch is slated for late February 2025. However, given the overwhelmingly positive reception from players and critics, the wait will undoubtedly be worthwhile.

Mobile platformers have always been a mixed bag for me personally. Touchscreens aren't always ideal for precision platforming, as my experience with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night demonstrated.
