What are Bedrock Crystals?
Bedrock Crystals are special resources used in crafting. While usually only a few are needed per item, exceptions exist. Five types exist:

How to Obtain Bedrock Crystals:
Access the arena via any teleport (press F to register if needed, then press F again to access the arena).

Select "Realm of the Dark" from the menu.

Carefully choose the correct tile to match the desired crystal type from your crafting menu. Defeating the wrong boss yields the wrong crystal.

After defeating the boss, select the desired number of crystals (up to 10, depending on your selection) and press "Infuse."
