Bandai Namco is making another exciting move into the mobile gaming world with *Digimon Alysion*, a digital adaptation of the beloved Digimon Card Game. This free-to-play game is set to launch on both Android and iOS platforms, though an exact release date hasn't been announced yet.
The game was officially unveiled during Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th. Alongside this exciting announcement, Bandai Namco shared other updates including the continuation of *Digimon Liberator* with a new arc in April 2025. They also released a special video to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime and introduced a new project, *Digimon Adventure: Beyond*. Additionally, they're developing a new RPG titled *Digimon Story: Time Stranger* for consoles and PC.
If You Play Digimon Card Game, Alysion Isn’t the Same
*Digimon Alysion* isn't just a direct port of the physical card game. It introduces unique 'DigiAly' cards alongside the traditional cards, specifically designed for this mobile version. Bandai Namco is also bringing in new Digimon and characters to enrich the gameplay experience.
The character roster featured on the game's website is predominantly an all-female cast, which is an unusual choice for a digital card game. This has sparked some skepticism among fans who were expecting a more faithful adaptation of the physical game.
This isn't Bandai Namco's first venture into Digimon mobile games, but their previous attempts haven't been successful. With two failed tries behind them, there's understandable hesitation about the potential success of *Digimon Alysion*.
Despite the concerns, I'm eagerly anticipating the game. A closed beta test is currently in the works, though details remain undisclosed. For the latest updates, you can visit their official website or follow their X account.
