Larian Studios announced on Steam that a stress test for Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 will begin in January. This test will be available on PC via Steam, and on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Mac and GOG users will not have access to this test build. Registration is currently open.
Larian plans to thoroughly test Patch 8 for bugs and stability issues before its official release. The developer is particularly interested in player feedback on cross-play functionality, calling it a significant undertaking. Players are encouraged to register and test cross-play, either with friends or by joining groups on the Larian Studios Discord server.
While Patch 8 marks the final major update for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian committed to ongoing support for modders, promising substantial future updates to enhance modding capabilities and allow for more creative storytelling. Since the September release of official modding tools, players have downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
