Just one month after its release and Game Pass debut, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios released a celebratory new trailer for Avowed. The video highlights the overwhelmingly positive critical reception of this action-RPG, showcasing select reviews and quotes from gaming journalists.
This latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, including Multi-Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly boost performance; NVIDIA showcased a potential three-fold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, reaching up to 340 FPS. Further announcements regarding future support and the game's roadmap are promised in the coming weeks.
Beyond the technical enhancements, this update also improves the player experience. Players now earn an additional talent point every five levels, with retroactive awards for existing players upon game launch. Keyboard and mouse users gain the ability to toggle between walking and running, and a new accessibility option allows for increased font sizes in in-game text, documents, and guides.
While Avowed didn't achieve universal, speechless praise, it still earned strong reviews. Digital Foundry notably lauded the game as a technical "triumph," further cementing its status as a remarkable achievement from Obsidian.
