Aircraft Open Beta Soars with New Additions in War Thunder Mobile

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air combat has officially launched, delivering intense aerial battles courtesy of Gaijin Entertainment. This update introduces over 100 aircraft from three nations, significantly expanding upon the game's previous limited air capabilities.

Previously, aircraft played supporting roles in naval and ground battles. This open beta, however, introduces a complete aviation tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.

War Thunder Mobile's Aircraft Open Beta: A Detailed Look

Currently, the beta features aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic planes like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. More nations are planned for future updates.

Players can focus on a single nation's tech tree or diversify their progress across multiple nations. High-ranking aircraft can be acquired via blueprints earned through in-game events, the first of which begins in early October.

The open beta unlocks a new Aviation campaign, providing access to the aircraft hangar for research, upgrades, and crew management. Squadrons of up to four aircraft can be formed, allowing for customization of aircraft and armaments. See the trailer below for a preview:

Gameplay Mechanics & The Aircraft Hangar

The aircraft hangar serves as the central hub between battles. Here, players manage their vehicles, select camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to squadrons. Three primary options are available for each aircraft slot: vehicle swapping, armament modification, and crew upgrades. Squadron composition is flexible, allowing for diverse aircraft combinations regardless of class, nation, or rank.

With its extensive new features, War Thunder Mobile's aircraft open beta offers a wealth of content. Download the game from the Google Play Store and experience the thrill of aerial combat firsthand.
