Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo, and if you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat. You can now step into the shoes of iconic characters from the 2016 edition, adding a nostalgic twist to your gameplay.
Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?
The pack includes fan-favorites like Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This update is all about these beloved characters, allowing you the flexibility to integrate them into any scenario you desire, without being tied to specific crime scenes or case files. It's your chance to pick your nostalgic favorite and dive right into the action. What's more, you can even mix these characters with the newer 2023 cast for a unique blend of old and new.
The demand from fans of the 2016 version has been clear, especially with the introduction of the more modern 2023 characters. It's great to see that Marmalade Game Studio has listened to the community and brought back these cherished suspects.
There’s More Coming to the Game!
In addition to the 2016 Suspects, Clue aka Cluedo is introducing a new game mode - the Retro Rules Set. This mode harks back to the original 1949 rules and is available to play for free. The Retro Rules Set reinstates some classic mechanics that alter how you move around the board and make accusations. For instance, tokens start at designated spots, and Miss Scarlet always takes the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard steps in.
In this mode, accusations can only be made while you're in a room, and Clue Cards are completely omitted. Additionally, you cannot move through squares occupied by other players. This brings a fresh yet nostalgic feel to the game, enhancing your Clue experience.
Be sure to check out the game on the Google Play Store to enjoy these exciting updates.
