Application Description

This educational app, "KCNK Little Bee," developed by Bazzle Amusement, helps children aged 4-9 master spelling. Sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU), and offered by the Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK), this offline app features three engaging modes:

Three Modes for Spelling Success:

The app boasts over 150 words, spread across ten levels in each mode. Word difficulty increases with each level. Each level contains 15 or more words. The word lists remain consistent across all three modes.

• Learning Mode 1: Students spell words letter by letter, guided by audio prompts. Mistakes can be easily undone, and the word can be replayed by tapping the bee icon. Completion requires correctly spelling every word in a level.

• Learning Mode 2: Words are presented with jumbled letters. Students must arrange them correctly to form the word, aided by audio prompts and an undo function. Similar to Mode 1, all words must be spelled correctly to advance.

• Competition Mode: This mode adds a timed challenge. Students are given jumbled words with extra letters, and must spell them correctly under a time limit. The total time for the level is recorded. A leaderboard tracks performance.

User-Friendly Features:

The app allows students to input their name, age, parish, and school. The game can be reset at any time. Parents and teachers can easily share leaderboard screenshots.
