Bandai Namco Partners with Rebel Wolves for Upcoming AAA RPG, Dawnwalker
Bandai Namco Entertainment, the publisher behind Elden Ring, has announced a global publishing agreement with Rebel Wolves for their debut action RPG, Dawnwalker. The Dawnwalker Saga Begins
Dawnwalker, slated for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox, is a story-driven AAA action RPG set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe. Rebel Wolves, established in 2022 in Warsaw, Poland, aims to redefine the RPG experience with its narrative focus. Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the shared values and Bandai Namco's proven success with narrative-driven RPGs. Leading the creative charge at Rebel Wolves is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, also a CDPR veteran with over nine years of experience, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, promising a non-linear narrative with significant player choice and replayability. Tomaszkiewicz emphasizes the team's dedication to creating an experience rich with options and experimental freedom.
