Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game

Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for families and friends. This turn-based game supports up to four players. The goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards.

Gameplay:

Players take turns playing a card that matches either the suit or rank of the card previously played. If a player has no matching card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a playable card, a player may choose to draw instead.

Special Cards:

• 2: When a 2 is played, the next player must draw two cards. If that player also has a 2, they can choose to play it (forcing the next player to draw four), or draw two cards themselves. This continues until a player without a 2 draws the cumulative number of cards.

• 7: Playing a 7 allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.

• 10: The player who plays a 10 must play another card immediately. If the 10 is their last card, they must draw a card.

• 12: (3 or 4 player games only) Playing a 12 skips the next player's turn.

The game ends when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if the last card is a 2 or 10), and that player is declared the winner.

Card Composition:

Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:

• 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
• 10 Espadas (Syouf)
• 10 Oros (D'hab)
• 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)

Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
