Application Description
This simple non-field RPG challenges you to escape a cursed forest. -Prologue- You're the village's best hunter, drawn to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. After the opening ceremony and a night camping, you awaken to find the forest eerily deserted – all fellow hunters vanished, leaving only remnants of their camps. National guards, responsible for overseeing the tournament, are nowhere to be seen. Despite your excellent sense of direction, you find yourself inexplicably lost, repeatedly returning to the same spot. This unsettling situation compels you to begin your escape.
-What is the "Elven Curse"?- This non-field RPG casts you as a hunter, aided by a quarter-elf, striving to escape the cursed forest. Gameplay is incredibly streamlined, using a maximum of three buttons outside the main menu.
-Character Creation- While character customization is limited, you can freely reroll your stats. Status increase rates upon leveling up are only viewable on this screen and cannot be checked in-game. A return item. When your "talismans" are below 2 and your life force hits zero, it's game over.
-Peddler Quarter Elf "Foria"- A young (?), self-proclaimed quarter-elf encountered in the forest. Despite their childlike appearance, they claim seniority and secretly aid your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.
-Scenario Scene- The prologue unfolds smoothly like a visual novel, with Foria's dialogue maintaining a cheerful tone. The game's worldview is conveyed through understated, suggestive language.
-Exploration Mode- Progress through the forest by exploring unexplored areas. The success of each exploration attempt depends on the area's "fog depth," influenced by your character's stats. If your life force depletes, use poison sparingly to recover. Rare "talismans" might necessitate a return to Foria.
-Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles- Fierce creatures roam the forest – from wild dogs and wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Killing them yields hides for trading with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, battles don't grant experience. The goal is escape, with no fixed boss battles. All encounters are avoidable (though requiring luck or skillful play). As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow. Maintain distance to attack without counterattacks, though closing the gap risks a one-sided assault. You can use wound medicine at a distance to heal, or choose between a risky withdrawal or a guaranteed escape using Foria's "flash" ball.
-Cloak & Layering System- Craft a mysterious cloak from gathered branches, resin, and leather, enhancing your abilities. Up to three layers can be added, cumulatively increasing ability values. In rare cases, it restores vitality. Note that the top layer can be damaged and eventually tear. The cloak is the only equipment modification. The bow and arrow remain unchanged.
This is not just a game; it's an experience. A game of chance, skill, strategy, and reflexes. A game of material collection, synthesis, and alchemy. A game where preparation is key. A relaxing game that allows progress even with casual play.
-Autosave- The game autosaves, but not during battles. For reliable saving, close the app from the base menu.
