Damasi Rules

• Board Setup: Played on an 8×8 board with 16 pieces (men) per player, set up in the first two rows, leaving the back row empty.

• Movement: Men can move forward or sideways one square, capturing by jumping over an opponent's piece to an empty square beyond it. Men cannot move backwards. Upon reaching the back row, a man is promoted to a king and can move any number of squares in any direction (forward, backward, or sideways).

• Capturing: Captures must be made if possible, and the player must choose the sequence that captures the maximum number of pieces. Pieces are removed immediately after being jumped, allowing for multiple captures in one turn, including crossing the same square more than once.

• Game End: The game concludes when a player has no legal moves left, either due to all pieces being captured or being completely blocked, resulting in a win for the opponent.

• Restrictions: Within a multi-capture sequence, a 180-degree turn between captures is not permitted.
